UPES - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies was established in 2003 in Dehradun and is a private university in Uttarakhand. It was established by the UPES Act 2003 of the Uttarakhand State Legislature. It was a part of the US-based Laureate International Universities network from 2013 to 2019. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has entered into collaboration with a Dutch Educational Network - Global University Systems for academics in 2019. It received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and was accredited with an A grade by NAAC.

The application process for BTech admissions at UPES Dehradun involves the following stages.

Step 1 - Personal Details

• Candidates should visit the official website of the UPES and click on the "Apply Online" link for the BTech admissions.

UPES BTech Selection Process 2022

The selection of students for admission to the BTech programmes at UPES will be done in the following way.

• The UPESEAT is an online examination conducted by the UPES Dehradun for giving admissions to the BTech programmes.
• The UPESEAT exam contains 125 questions from 4 different sections and is held for 2 hours.

UPES BTech Fee Structure

The total fee for the BTech Computer Science and Engineering programmes offered by the School of Computer Science of UPES is Rs. 2,05,000/- per semester. Detailed information regarding the BTech programme fee is provided below.

Hostel Fee

• An amount of Rs. 1,80,000 is to be paid by the candidates for a regular hostel for Boys and Girls at Kandoli and Bidholi Campus.
• However, there are additional triple-sharing rooms with certain facilities for Girls and the details are given below.
  • Rs. 1,90,000/- for hostel room with attached washroom for girls.
  • Rs. 2,00,000/- for hostel room with attached washroom and AC for girls.
• Candidates should make a payment of Rs. 10,000/- as a refundable hostel security fee.

UPES BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility conditions that students should satisfy to become eligible for pursuing BTech at UPES Dehradun are given below.

• All the students who have completed their Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.
• Students should have secured an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks in Class X.
