Lovely Professional University (LPU) was established by the Act of State Legislature of Punjab in 2005. It is a private university in Punjab established with a motto of "Transforming Education Transforming India". It is a part of the Lovely Group which began its journey as a small sweet shop. The BCA programme of Lovely Professional University is designed to equip students with the programming skills which help them in developing resource-optimized websites/software/mobile applications. It offers a set of four electives outside the curriculum to develop extra skills in the students.

LPU BCA Application Process

Students can secure admission to BCA programmes at LPU by applying for them by following the steps given below.

Step 1 - Sign Up

• Candidates should register themselves on LPUADMIT with their name, email ID, mobile number, etc.
• The email ID of the candidates provided for registration will act as a username and they have to set a password of their choice while registering.
• Candidates can log in to their LPUADMIT account with an already-created username or password.

Step 2 - Application for Admission

• Here, candidates have to fill out the application form and choose BCA from the available programmes list.
• Candidates should pay an amount of Rs. 10,000/- initially. Candidates will receive a unique ID after finishing the fee payment.
• Candidates should upload their passport-size photograph, certificate of date of birth, and mark sheet of Class XII.
• Candidates can choose mess or transportation facilities based on their needs.

Step 3 - Apply for LPUNEST for a Scholarship

LPUNEST at LPU is conducted for scholarships while it is conducted for providing admission for BCA (Hons).

• Students should deposit a fee for the LPUNEST.
  • LPUNEST Application Form Cost + Soft Copy of LPUNEST Kit = Rs. 1,000/- for Boys and Rs. 500/- for Girls.
  • LPUNEST Application Form Cost + Printed Copy of LPUNEST Kit = Rs. 1,500/- for Boys and Rs. 1,000/- for Girls.
• Now, candidates have to fill out the application form for LPUNEST with all the mandated information.

Step 4 - Book Slot for Exam and Appear

• Candidates should book a slot for appearing for the LPUNEST with their desired time and date.
• Candidates should take Step 2 of the BCA application process if they have not taken admission.

Note

• For BCA (Hons) and BCA (Big Data Analytics), Step 2 becomes Step 5 and results declaration will be added as Step 4 between slot booking and applying for admission.

LPU BCA Selection Process

The selection of students for BCA and BCA (Honours) admissions at Lovely Professional University involves the following procedure.

BCA

• Students will be selected for BCA admissions at LPU based on their performance in the qualifying exam, availability of seats and number of applications received.
• However, students can appear for the LPUNEST exam to get scholarships.

BCA (Honours) and BCA (Big Data Analytics)

• Eligible students will be selected for admission to the BCA (Hons) programme based on their merit in the LPUNEST.

LPU BCA Fee Structure

LPU BCA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions that students should meet to become eligible for BCA admissions at Lovely Professional University are given below.

BCA

• Candidates should have completed their Class XII or 10+2 or equivalent in English with at least 50% marks from a board or university recognized by the Government of India.

BCA (Honours) and BCA (Big Data Analytics)

• All the students should have Passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 90% marks with English, Or
• Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with an aggregate of at least 60% marks with English from a recognized board or institute subject to clearing the LPUNEST.

Common for Both

• For the students who have not studied English at their Class XII or 10+2, the condition of English will be waived off if the candidate studies the qualifying exam in the English medium.
• A 5% relaxation in minimum marks will be provided for the students belonging to the North-eastern States, Sikkim, Wards of Defence Personnel and Dependants of Kashmiri Migrants.
