Lovely Professional University (LPU) was established by the Lovely International Trust in 2005 under the Act of Lovely Professional University and began its operations in 2006 in Phagwara, Punjab. It has more than 45 teaching and research departments and offers more than 360 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in various disciplines. Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is affiliated with UGC (University Grants Commission).

LPU BTech Application Process 2022

Candidates can apply for BTech admissions at Lovely Professional University (LPU) by following the steps given below.

Step 1 - Sign Up

• Candidates have to register on LPUADMIT with their basic details. Candidates' email ID acts as a username and they can set their password while registering on the portal.
• Now, candidates should log in to the LPUADMIT with an already created username and password.

Step 2 - Take Admission

• Candidates have to deposit an initial payment of Rs. 10,000/-. A unique registration number will be generated after the successful completion of the fee payment.
• Candidates should upload certain documents such as
  • Passport Size Photograph
  • Marksheet of Qualifying Exam
  • Marksheet of Matriculation
  • Address Proof
• Now, candidates are required to apply for transportation/mess/residential facilities according to their requirements.
• Candidates have to deposit the balance fee within the due date mandated by the University.

Step 3 - Apply for LPUNEST

LPUNEST is an online exam conducted for providing admission to the BTech programmes. It also acts as a scholarship test and students can avail huge scholarships based on their performance in this test.

• Candidates have to deposit the test fee.
  • Softcopy of LPUNEST Kit and Application Form Cost is Rs. 1,000/- for Boys and Rs. 500/- for Girls.
  • Printed LPUNEST Kit and Application Form Cost is Rs. 1,500/- for Boys and Rs. 1,000/- for Girls.
• Candidates have to fill out the application form for LPUNEST.

Step 4 - Book the Slot for the Exam and Appear

• Now, candidates have to book the slot to appear for the LPUNEST exam.
• Candidates have to appear and clear the LPUNEST exam.

Step 5 - Result

• Candidates can get their scorecard after the LPUNEST results declaration.
• Candidates can proceed to step 2 if they did not take the admission test.

LPU BTech Selection Process 2022

• Students will be allocated seats in the BTech programmes based on their performance in the LPUNEST conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU).

LPUNEST

• The LPUNEST 2022 is an online test and will be conducted in online proctored mode.
• In the LPUNEST BTech exam, students can either choose Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Aptitude English or Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Aptitude and English.
• The LPUNEST BTech will be conducted for 150 minutes and the detailed exam pattern is given below.

LPU BTech Fee Structure

The total fee for all the normal BTech programmes at Lovely Professional University is Rs. 1,20,000/- per semester. The BTech fee details at LPU are given below.

LPU BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates should fulfil the following eligibility requirements to become eligible for applying for BTech admissions at LPU.

Nationality

• All the students must be Indian Citizens.

Qualifying Exam

• Candidates appearing for the LPUNEST must have completed or appearing for the final exams of CBSE or CISCE or State Board or any other council or institute recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any apex body.

Eligibility in the Qualifying Exam

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English with an aggregate of at least 60% marks subject to clearing the LPUNEST or JEE Mains for the BTech programmes.
• For BTech (Hons) Programmes, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English with an aggregate of at least 70% marks subject to qualifying LPUNEST or JEE Mains.
• For BTech Food Technology, Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering - Chemistry, Physics, English and either Biology, Biotechnology, Mathematics will be considered as subjects while the other things remain the same as above.
• For BTech Chemical, Civil, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Aerospace and Automobile Engineering - Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English will be considered as subjects while all the other things remain the same as the above.

Note

• Candidates are exempted from giving LPUNEST if they secure 85 Percentile or above in JEE Mains.
• 5% relaxation is allowed for students of North-eastern states, Sikkim, wards of Kashmiri Migrants, Defence Personnel and their dependents.
