The steps involved in the application process of the LPU for the MBA programme are given below.

Step 1 - Sign Up

• Register yourself on LPUADMIT with Name, Email ID, Mobile Number and Password. Your email ID will be your username and you can set the password at the time of registration.
• Login to the LPUADMIT with username and password.

Step 2 - Apply for the Test

• Deposit the fee for the test.
  • Application form cost and soft copy of LPUNEST kit is Rs. 1,000/- for boys and Rs. 500/- for girls.
  • Application form cost and printed LPUNEST kit is Rs. 1,500/- for boys and Rs. 1,000/- for girls.
• Fill out the LPUNEST application form.

Step 3 - Book the Slot for the Test

• Now, book the slot to appear for the LPUNEST exam. Appear for the LPUNEST and clear it with a good score.

Step 4 - Slot for Interview

• After clearing the test, book a slot for the interview according to your comfort.
• Appear for the interview on the date you have selected and clear it.

Step 5 - Admission

• Now, deposit an initial payment of Rs. 10,000/-. After successful completion of fee payment, upload all the essential documents to confirm admission.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) MBA Selection Process 2022

Candidates will be selected for the MBA programmes at Lovely Professional University (LPU) through CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT or LPUNEST scores followed by an Interview.

LPUNEST

• The LPUNEST is an entrance examination conducted by the Lovely Professional University for providing admission to the eligible candidates for MBA and other programmes.
• The LPUNEST exam is being conducted in online proctored mode currently.
• The LPUNEST MBA contains 4 sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension and General Awareness.
• No score reduction for negative answers and 2.5 hours is the time allocated for completing the test.

Personal Interview

• The interview will be conducted for the candidates who reach the prescribed cut-off in the entrance examinations.
• The details of the interview will be informed to the candidates and they can book their slot for the interview according to their convenience.
• The results of the interview will be declared within 24 working hours and within 7 days of the results, the admission process will be carried out by the Lovely Professional University.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) MBA Fee Structure

The Lovely Professional University (LPU) MBA programme fee per semester is Rs. 1,90,000. However, there are fee concessions for certain candidates and the details are given below.

• If candidates score more than or equal to Category I cut-off of the LPUNEST, or 90% or more marks in Graduation, or 95% or above marks in Class XII, a fee concession of Rs. 91,200/-, i.e, 48% of the programme fee will be given.
• If candidates score more than or equal to Category II cut-off of the LPUNEST or 80 to 89.99% marks in Graduation, or 90 to 94.99% in Class XII, a fee of Rs. 72,200 will be given a concession.
• If students get a score more or equal to Category III cut-off, or 70% to 79.99% in Graduation or 80 to 89.99% in Class XII, a total of Rs. 53,200/- will be given as a concession from the programme fee.
• The MBA programme fee for international students except for students from the countries of Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is the US $ 2950 per semester while it is Rs. 1,90,000/- per semester for students from Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) MBA Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility requirements for applying for the MBA programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU) are discussed below.

• Candidates must pass Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university or institute with an aggregate of 55% marks subject to the CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, CMAT or LPUNEST and Interview, or
• Candidates who have completed Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India subject to qualifying for the Interview, or
• Candidates who have completed Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India subject to the clearance of the interview, or
• Candidates who have completed Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India are eligible subject to the clearance of the interview.

Note - 1

• 5% relaxation in aggregate score will be provided for the candidates belonging to the North-eastern states, Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their dependents or Children of Kashmiri Migrants.

Note - 2

• If a student has more than 80 percentile or above in CAT, XAT or MAT, or
• All India Rank of 20,000 in CMAT, or
• 230 or more scores in NMAT then candidates can secure admission without giving LPUNEST.

Scholarships

There are several scholarships provided to the students who wish to pursue MBA programmes from Lovely Professional University. The different types of scholarships are given below.

Scholarships based on Score in Qualifying Exam

• This scholarship is based on the score of candidates in the qualifying examination and a 48% programme fee will be provided as a scholarship for students who secure more than 90% marks in Graduation while it is 38% for candidates with 80 to 89.99% and 28% for the students with 70 to 79.99% marks.

Scholarships Based on LPUNEST

• 48% of the programme fee will be offered as a scholarship for students who score more than or equal to the Category I cut-off of the LPUNEST while it is 38% for Category II and 28% for Category III cut-off.

Scholarships Based on CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT or MAT Score

• A scholarship of 48% of the programme fee will be offered for the students who score more than 90 percentile in CAT/XAT, or more than 95 percentile in MAT or All India Rank of 3000 or less in CMAT, or NMAT score more or equal to 280.
• A scholarship amount of 38% of the programme fee will be provided for the students who secure 85 to 90 percentile in CAT/XAT, or MAT percentile from 90 to 95, or CMAT rank from 3001 to 6000, or NMAT score from 260 to 279.
• 28% of the programme fee will be offered to the students in the form of a scholarship if they secure a percentile from 80 to 84.99 in CAT/XAT, or MAT percentile from 85 to 89.99, or CMAT All India Rank from 6001 to 10000, or NMAT score from 240 to 259.
