LPU MCA Application Process

Candidates can apply for MCA admissions at Lovely Professional University (LPU) by following the steps given below.

Step 1 - Sign Up

• Candidates have to register on to LPUADMIT with their basic information such as their name, mobile number, email ID, gender and password. The email ID provided by the students will act as the username for the portal while they have to set a password at the time of LPU MCA registration.
• Candidates will receive a mail on their registered email ID regarding this.
• Candidates can log in to their LPUADMIT with already-created login credentials such as their username and password.

Step 2 - Apply for LPUNEST

LPUNEST is an online exam that acts as a gateway to the MCA programme. MCA programme admissions at LPU will be offered on the basis of the performance of students in the LPUNEST. It also acts as a scholarship test and students can avail of huge scholarships for themselves through LPUNEST.

• Candidates have to deposit a fee for the LPUNEST and
  • Cost of LPUNEST Application Form + LPUNEST Kit (Soft Copy) = Rs. 1,000/- for Boys and Rs. 500/- for Girls.
  • Cost of LPUNEST Application Form + LPUNEST Kit (Hard Copy) = Rs. 1,500/- for Boys and Rs. 1,000/- for Girls.
• Candidates should fill out the LPUNEST application form.

Step 3 - Book Slot for Exam and Appear

• Candidates have to fill out the slot for the LPUNEST exam with their preferred date, venue and time to appear for the LPUNEST exam.
• Candidates have to appear and qualify for the LPUNEST to secure admission to the MCA programme at Lovely Professional University.

Step 4 - Admission

• Now, candidates should deposit an initial payment of Rs. 10,000/-. After completion of fee payment for MCA admissions
  • A unique registration ID gets generated which will be sent to the students via email.
• Candidates have to upload the documents like a recent passport-size photograph, marksheet of Class X, mark sheet of graduation and proof of address.
• Candidates can apply for mess/transportation/residential facilities according to their requirements.
• Candidates have to deposit the remaining fee before the deadline prescribed by Lovely Professional University (LPU).

LPU MCA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements that candidates have to satisfy to become eligible for MCA admissions at Lovely Professional University are given below.

• Candidates should have passed 60% marks in BCA/BSc (Computer Science/Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science as the subject or BCom/BA/BSc with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 or Graduation level subject to clearing the LPUNEST.
• A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks will be provided for candidates belonging to North-Eastern States, Sikkim, Defence Personnel, their Wards and Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

Note

• If a student has not studied Computers as a subject in their graduation then they should go through additional courses which will be scheduled before the commencement of the classes or along with the regular classes at the University.
• Students are not required to pay any additional fee for additional or bridge courses.
