DIT, the former Dehradun Institute of Technology was established in 1998 by Naveen Agarwal and is a private university located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It became autonomous in 2012 and was declared a University by the State Government of Uttarakhand in 2013. The BTech programmes of DIT University have been developed in collaboration with leading academicians and industry professionals to provide relevant content to make them future-ready. DIT University BTech Application Process 2022
The application form for the BTech admissions is available at DIT University. The details of the DIT University BTech application process are given below.
- Candidates can fill out the BTech application form with Rs. 1,250/- via credit/debit card or net banking. The last date for application form submission at DIT University is closing soon.
- Candidates have to log in with a unique password and login ID which will be generated after registration to fill out the form.
- Candidates should provide personal, academic and other information and upload the documents as mandated by the University.
- Candidates have to submit the scores secured by them in the qualifying exam/entrance test and submit the information after due verification.

The admissions to all the BTech programmes including the BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at DIT University will be allocated through the following stages.
- Merit-based counselling on the rank of JEE.
- Direct admission to the board toppers of Class XII - 10% seats.
- Merit-based counselling based on marks obtained by the candidates in Class XII.
- NRI/Sponsored Seats - 10% seats.
BTech (Lateral Entry)
- Candidates will be selected for admission to the BTech (Lateral Entry) programmes based on merit counselling based on Diploma/BSc percentage/UKSEE Score.

DIT University BTech Eligibility Criteria 2022
The details of eligibility requirements that students have to meet to apply for BTech (BTech Computer Science and Engineering) admissions at DIT University are given below.
BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (All Specializations)
- Candidates should have passed Class XII with an aggregate of at least 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, English + best one of the remaining subjects.
- Candidates are also required to secure an aggregate of at least 60% marks in Class X.
BTech in Information Technology
- Candidates should have passed Class XII with Mathematics, Physics, English + best one of the remaining subjects with an aggregate of at least 55% marks. Students should secure 55% marks in Class X.
BTech in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication and Petroleum Engineering
- Students must have passed Class X with an aggregate of 50% marks and Class XII with an aggregate of 50% marks in 4 subjects - Mathematics, English, Physics + best one of the other subjects.
BTech (Lateral Entry)
- All the candidates must have finished their Diploma in Engineering/BSc with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.

- Merit-based Scholarship
- Students who have joined the BTech programme can apply for merit-based scholarships at the institute based on their score in the Class XII/JEE Rank.
- Students will be offered a certain percentage of scholarships on tuition fees according to their score in Class XII/JEE Mains.

- Scholarship for Wards of Defence Personnel
- Students belonging to the Defence Personnel can avail 5% scholarship on tuition fees.

- This scholarship is applicable for the first year only and a 5% scholarship will be offered on tuition fees to the siblings of present students/Alumni on submitting certain documents.
