Dayanand Sagar University

A private university called Dayananda Sagar was founded in 2014. Bangalore, Karnataka, is where it is situated. The university came in first place at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) India Regional Finals and is ranked fourth among new universities by the Karnataka Rating Framework (KSURF). The "Best Private University South Award" has also been given to DSU by ASSOCHAM. It is also considered to be among India's top B-schools. It offers a full-time, two-year MBA program with 180 seats that is divided into 4 semesters. Students can choose from a variety of specialization options. Admissions for 2022 are currently open.

Application Process

Steps for applying online-

• Click the "Apply Online" link on the university's official website.
• Register using mobile number and E-mail and verify the mobile number. All correspondence will be sent to the email address provided at registration, which will be used until enrollment is complete. Under no circumstances will it be possible to change your email ID.
• Complete all fields, including those pertaining to education and identity.
• Upload all the necessary documents.

Documents needed are as under-

• Class X marksheet
• Class XII marksheet
• Graduation marksheet and certificate
• Entrance examination scorecard
• Caste certificate (if any)

PDF format is most preferable.

• Students have the option to PAY ONLINE through the university's official website. The application form fee is INR 1000 which is non-refundable.
• Save the application form.
• The application form should be printed out and sent to the exam controller.
• Candidates may also submit their applications by downloading the necessary paperwork from the official website.

Those who wish to apply offline must send the completed application form they downloaded, a photo, and payment in the form of a DD to the campus.

Selection Procedure

The selection depends upon merit and entrance exam test scores.

Step 1 Application review

Students' application will be reviewed on the basis graduation scores and entrance exam scores. Entrance exams like MAT, CAT, GMAT, KMAT, CMAT, etc. are accepted provided that student has scored at least 50% in the exam. Students who don't meet the aforementioned requirements must take the DSAT (Dayananda Sagar Admission Test) and score 50% in it.

Students can also get admitted though PGCET if the rank is below 5000.

DSAT is an entrance test conducted by the university itself for students who failed to clear above-mentioned examination. The exam takes 120 minutes to complete. Each correct response will receive one mark, while each incorrect response will result in no points being deducted from the candidate's score. Multiple-choice questions are the type of question.

General knowledge, aptitude testing, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, and English are among the sections.

Step 2 Personal Interview

Qualified applicants will be given personal interviews. Personal online interview with the dean and other MBA Department professors.

Eligibility Criteria

• Pass a three-year Bachelor's degree program in any stream with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50% (or 45% for candidates who fall under the SC/ST or OBC categories), or any other qualification that is recognized as being equivalent thereto.
• Qualified score from the CAT, NMAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT or DSAT.

CAT 2022 application process- 3^rd August to 23^rd September, 2022

DSAT 2021 was conducted in July.

Placements

• The highest package offered was 16 LPA.
• The lowest package offered was 12 LPA.
• On an average, packages are between 4.5-5.5 LPA.
• Students are eligible starting in the sixth semester, but in order to be eligible for interviews, they must have overall semester grades of at least 60 percent.
• Recruiting partners are TATA, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant, iGATE, Oracle, Cisco, Deloitte, Microsoft, L&T Constructions, Mu Sigma, Cerner, Accenture, KPMG, Wipro, HP, Zycus, TCS, Adobe, Cargill, Taj, Brittania, Cleartax, pwc, ICICI Bank and much more.

Cut Offs

• NMAT cutoff is 65 for round 1.
• CAT cut off is 85 for round 1.
• DSAT 50% marks for unreserved category and 45% for reserved category.

Cut Offs may vary year wise.

Scholarships

If one is from Karnataka, all government scholarships are available. One can also get some waiver if his/her parent have military experience.

Otherwise, one must pay the full tuition; there are no other options.
