Symbiosis BTech Selection Process 2022

BTech Regular

BTech (Regular)

Indian Students

• All the students must have passed the 10+2 exam with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with Biotechnology/Biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational Subject with an aggregate of at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST Category) in the above subjects taken together.
• Also, candidates are required to have a valid score in the SIT Engineering Entrance Exam/JEE Mains/Any State Government Engineering Entrance Exam.

International Students (PIO/NRI/Foreign Nationals)

• For International Students, the eligibility is the same as for Indian students. However, these candidates need not appear for SITEEE/JEE Mains/ASGEEE.

IB/Cambridge Board (IGCSE) Students

1. International Baccalaureate (IB)

• Candidates should have been awarded IB Diploma Certificate or IB Diploma and are required to pass Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at Higher Level with a minimum of 24 credits.
• Students who have been given the IB Diploma must have finished other mandatory requirements like TOK, CAS, and EE towards the award of the IB Diploma.

1. IGCSE/GCSE/GCE Exam

• Candidates should have passed the exam approved by the British Examination Bodies equivalent to the Class XII with at least 5 subjects including English.
• Students must have passed Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at Advanced Level and English at a minimum of Ordinary Level.
• Candidates are also required to have a valid score in the SITEEE/JEE Mains/ASGEEE.
• The conversation of IB and GCSE/IGCSE/GCE grades will be used as suggested on the web portal of the AIU.
• Only students who have prescribed qualifications from Boards of Higher Education recognized and accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible to apply for BTech admissions at SIT.

BTech (Lateral Entry)

• All the students must have passed Diploma/Diploma in Vocational Course from an AICTE recognized Polytechnic College, Or
• Passed Diploma in Vocational Stream in the same or allied sector according to the norms of the AICTE, Or
• Passed BSc from a recognized university with an aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) and passed Class XII or its equivalent with Mathematics as a subject.
