Amity Business School in Mumbai was established in the year 2004 and continues to be known as a leading Institution for management studies to date. Application Procedure

Amity University Mumbai offers a direct admission process for the students who have secured more than eighty per cent aggregate marks in class twelfth (ISC/CBSE/State Boards of 2019/2020/2021). These students get exemption from the selection process and selection is solely on the basis of the Amity application form.

The amount to be paid for the application form is INR 1100. The application form shall be filled solely when the candidates meet the eligibility criteria. The applicant is required to submit the following documents along with their application form:

• Passport size photograph should have a 3.5*4.5cm width. In case of online submission, the applicant is required to submit a scanned photograph in gif, jpeg, jpg, bmp, or png format.
• Class tenth mark sheet should be attached. In case of online submission, the applicant is required to submit a scanned mark sheet in gif, jpeg, jpg, bmp, or png format.
• A valid contact number and email address are required.
• The application fees can be paid through debit card/credit card/demand draft (in case of downloaded form)

It should be noted that the application form can get rejected in case of any discrepancy in the supporting documents.

Selection Process/Admission Procedure

Admission Microsite

• After completing the application process, the students get access to their admission micrositehttps://portal.amity.edu/login.aspx to which they can log in using the form number and password given on their application form.
• The students can keep a tab on their registration status using this site. They can select the date for presenting in the admission procedure and keep themselves updated with the status of the selection.
• The candidates can get their admission letters’ soft copy as well as confirmation of fee payment through this website.

Student-centric admission guidelines

First step: The candidate is required to complete the online application form and submit all the scores up to the under-graduation level.

Second step: Candidates can opt for the interview through video instead of an in-person interview conducted on campus.

It should be noted that if the candidate has completed the CAT/XAT/GRE/MAT/State level MBA entrance examination then they have the choice to apply from their home through the means of a video interview instead of an in-person on-campus interview. If this is not the case then the candidate is required to present oneself for AMCAT, that is, Amity Common Admission Test.

Further, the candidates who attained at least 70 percentiles in MAT/CAT are eligible under the direct admission criteria. These candidates shall get an exemption from the entrance test. They only need to appear for group discussions and personal interviews.

Fee Structure

The first-year non-sponsored semester fees at Amity University, Mumbai is INR 2.63lacs.

Scholarships

The scholarships for the year 2022 that students can avail on the basis of merit are mentioned below:

• Hundred per cent scholarship can be availed by the students who secured ninety percentiles in MAT/CAT or GRE 161/650 GMAT
• Fifty per cent scholarship can be availed by those students who attained eighty-five percentiles in MAT/CAT or GRE 157/600 GMAT
• Twenty-five percentiles scholarship can be availed by the students who attained seventy-five percentiles in MAT/CAT or GRE 149/450 GMAT

The following are the rules for grant continuation scholarship:

• A hundred per cent scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is in the top five per cent of their batch. The scholarship is subject to the condition that the CGPA should be at least 9.3 and the student should have gotten a hundred per cent on an admission merit scholarship.
• Fifty per cent scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is in the top ten per cent of their batch. The scholarship is subject to the condition that the CGPA should be at least 8.8 and the student should have gotten a fifty per cent on-admission merit scholarship.
• Twenty-five per cent scholarship shall be awarded to the student who is in the top fifteen per cent of their batch. The scholarship is subject to the condition that the CGPA should be at least 8.5 and the student should have gotten a twenty-five per cent on-admission merit scholarship.

It should be noted that in case the size of the batch is less than twenty for any course/program then only first, second and third rank shall be eligible for a scholarship based on the following conditions:

1. The student who attained the first rank shall be eligible for a 100 per cent scholarship subject to the CGPA which should be at least 9.3
2. The student who attained first or second rank shall be eligible for a 50 per cent scholarship subject to the CGPA which should be at least 8.8
3. The student who attained first second or third rank shall be eligible for a 25 per cent scholarship subject to the CGPA which should be at least 8.5

Merit scholarship during the program

As the academic year ends, the toppers from the program are awarded scholarships depending on their merit and CGPA. The below-mentioned conditions are applicable for attaining these scholarships:

1. The student ought to be in the top ten per cent of the program in their batch.
2. The student who is being considered shall have cleared all the exams in the first attempt in the normal exams scheduled for that particular program.
3. The merit scholarships shall be awarded based on the following number:

• The amount of merit scholarship shall be equal to thirty per cent of the tuition fee that has to be paid by the student in the following year and shall be rounded off to the next multiple of INR 100.
• The continuation of merit scholarship is based on the students’ performance for they should remain in the top ten per cent of the merit list of their program. The number of scholarships will be based upon the maximum number of scholarships that are being awarded for the academic year.
• Under specific conditions, the merit scholarship can be withdrawn at any time during the program.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship

The deserving students who perform well academically and require financial assistance can apply for merit cum means scholarships. In the table given below, the details for this scholarship are mentioned:

Ten per cent fee exemption every semester is accorded for those students who have passed out from Amity. The discount is not granted in case of a gap of 1 or more years between clearing the qualifying exams and seeking admission to Amity University.
