IIM Lucknow MBA
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow is a public business school established in 1984 by the Government of India in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is the fourth IIM established in the country and offers postgraduate programmes in management in various specializations. The Indian Government, i.e, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) recognized it as an "Institute of Excellence". The PGP programme at IIM commenced in 1985-1986 with a total of 30 students.

IIM Lucknow MBA Application Process
Candidates have to apply for the CAT examination conducted by the IIMs to get admission to PGP programmes at IIM Lucknow. The steps to be followed for registering for the CAT exam are given below.
- Visit the official website - http://iimcat.ac.in and click on the registration link available there.
- Fill in all the essential information in the CAT registration form to generate a login ID and password.
- Now, use the generated login credentials to log in and fill up the application form for the CAT exam.
- After providing all the necessary information properly, upload scanned images of the photograph and signature.
- Now, proceed to the application fee payment and pay the fee online mode using a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
- Submit the CAT application form after due verification.
IIM Lucknow MBA Selection Process
Candidates have to appear for the CAT examination, i.e, a computer-based test to take part in the IIM Lucknow admission process. The selection process for the PGP programmes at IIM Lucknow is given below.
- Candidates who applied for the PGP programme will be shortlisted for the interview based on their performance in the CAT, relevant work experience and scholastic achievement.
- The Written Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted in Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Lucknow and Kolkata by the end of February onwards.
- The final selection of students for the PGP programme will be based on the performance of candidates in the CAT, Work Experience, Scholastic Achievement, WAT and PI.

IIM Lucknow MBA Eligibility Criteria
The detailed eligibility requirements for the different PGP programmes are given below.
PGP
- All the students must have a Bachelor's Degree from a university or institute recognized by the Government of India with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
- Students who are waiting for the results of the final year of Bachelor's Degree or appearing for the final year examinations of Bachelor's Degree can also apply for the PGP programmes at IIM Lucknow. On selection, they will be admitted provisionally. Their seat gets confirmed only if they submit a certificate from the Registrar or Principal of his/her college by 30th June 2023 stating that the candidate meets all the requirements of a Bachelor's Degree from the date of issue of the certificate.
PGP - Sustainable Management
- All the candidates who hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) with at least 2 years of professional experience.
- Candidates who are shortlisted for the PGP-SM programme have to submit a Statement of Purpose and it will be made available.
PGP - AgriBusiness Management
- All the candidates who have completed their Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Science or allied subjects such as Soil Science, Biochemistry, Animal Husbandry, Food Technology, Dairy Science or Technology, Forestry, Food Technology or Management, Rural Sociology, Rural Banking, Life Sciences or Veterinary Science with an aggregate of at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university or institute, Or
- Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 50% marks while it is 45% for SC/ST/PwD from a recognized university or institute can also apply. The Bachelor's Degree must be three years after the Secondary Higher Education or Class XII. These candidates are required to submit a special form for the PGP-ABM programme at the time of the interview.
- Students appearing or appeared and waiting for the results of the final examinations of Bachelor's Degree can also apply provided they submit all the requisite documents by 30th June 2023.
Note
- The percentage of marks secured by a candidate in their Bachelor's Degree will be calculated by the practice followed by the institution or university from which the candidates have studied.
- If students are awarded CGPA/grades instead of marks, the conversion of CGPA/grades to percentages will be based on the university or institution-certified procedure.
- If the university or institute has no definite procedure for converting CGPA into a percentage, equivalence will be achieved by dividing the CGPA secured by the candidates by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
