Fee Structure of Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) , Hazaribagh

1. Rajiv Gandhi National Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Postgraduate students who have qualified UGC-NET or JRF.
• Expenses covered: Rs. 16,000 per month for JRF and Rs. 14,000 per month for NET.

1. Maulana Azad National Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Minority students pursuing postgraduate courses.
• Expenses covered: Rs. 10,000 per annum.

1. Merit Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Undergraduate and postgraduate students with at least 60% marks in the previous examination.
• Expenses covered: Varies from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 per month depending on the course.

1. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Undergraduate and postgraduate students from economically weaker sections.
• Expenses covered: Rs. 2,000 per annum.

1. E-Kalyan Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class and Minority communities.
• Expenses covered: Based on family income and course fee.

Eligibility Criteria for these scholarships - 

1. Rajiv Gandhi National Scholarship:

• Qualification: Qualified UGC-NET or JRF in the relevant subject.

1. Maulana Azad National Scholarship:

• Qualification: Belonging to a minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi) with at least 55% marks in the previous examination.

1. Merit Scholarship:

• Qualification: Secured at least 60% marks in the previous examination.

1. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:

• Qualification: Belonging to an economically weaker section with an annual family income of less than Rs. 2 lakh.

1. E-Kalyan Scholarship:

• Qualification: Belonging to SC, ST, BC, or Minority community with an annual family income of less than Rs. 1 lakh for SC/ST and less than Rs. 1.5 lakh for BC/Minority.

Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. However, there is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. The hostels are furnished with facilities including a kitchen, a library and recreational equipment.
