The campus spans 302 acres in Doimukh town, about nine miles from Itanagar. Rajiv Gandhi University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD and diploma courses in different fields. University has student count of approximately 3000 and employs a substantial number of faculty members.
The university provides many facilities, including a library, sports fields, a gymnasium, a cafeteria and an auditorium. For admissions, it accepts scores from CUET-UG, RGUCET, CUET-PG and RGPCET.
Rajiv Gandhi University is recognized by the University Grants Commission and has NAAC accreditation. According to NIRF 2022 rankings, it placed between 151-200 out of 200 colleges in India. The university collaborates internationally and has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Tuebingen in Germany for research.
