No bad thing about the college, everything is okay. I proud to be a product of this college. The management should work a bit more as some of they are real lazy.

Entrance Exam

For admission into my course, I gave the entrance test of the university post clearing it was called for a small interview. Based upon my score in the entrance test and my preferences for the course offered by Goa university

Fees

The fee for my course is fairly low and was around 10k per year. Though fee of some of the courses is pretty high so watch out for them. Those who wabnt to stay in hostel have to pay around 6k per annum.

Hostel and Facilities

The hostel is provided and the university charges around 6k per annum which is very less as per me.

Alumni

Faculty

They were among the best faculties available that time. Most of the faculties have had PhD degrees from the top research institutions in India like Indian institute of Science etc. They had significant research experience both at the national and international level and have had an inclination and interest for the research and teaching.

Campus Life

Campus life was the best. The university campus has almost all sort of things and ingredients to have unlimited fun. This is also probably the first university which has more of the girl's students than the boys, at least it was true during my course there. It is very close to a beach and has a lake in close vicinity. It has an amazing library facility which is open round the clock.

Academics

We had very complicated examination pattern. Every semester (6 months duration) we had 5 to 6 papers. we had 50% of internal examination and 50% external examination. For the internal exams, we had to give two to three papers any time during the course of the semester. The marks obtained in these test were averaged and added to our final marks along with the marks obtained in external

Internships

Yes, throughout the Master's course we received a regular stipend sponsored by the department of biotechnology, Government of India.

Loans and Scholarships

I was offered the scholarship from the department of Biotechnology government of India through Jawaharlal Nehru university (JNU) combined entrance examination. Probably the scholarship is recently discontinued though not sure.

Entrance Exam

University conductor its own entrance exam and i scored around 70 percent in the exam and i got admitted. No I did not have to give any interview for it and was admitted directly. The level of exam was medium in difficulty.

Fees

The fee is pretty reasonable and i paid around rupees 70000 per year . Other college of similar status charge more fee.

Placements

The average package that was offered by the placement companies was around 3.525 lacs. The placement package mostly depends on academic score, designation, company only student is selected. Over it as well a good placement season and more number of companies turned up than what I had thought.

Faculty

Most of my facilities have degrees in their respective institute. They carry experience at both national and international level which gives a great exposure to the students. The teaching methodology is something I personally liked.

Campus Life

Academics

Exam structure is the semester system and the marks distribution fifty percent of internal and fifty percent for external exams. Don’t underestimate attendance because the college takes it very seriously.

Internships

The college provided internships to most of the students. Some of the students also chose to do internship frok outside on our own including me. We had to take permission as well as had to give proof of internship. A report on the internship also needs to be submitted.

Loans and Scholarships

Different scholarships are provided by the college for different students. They have different eligibility criteria for stop since i did not get any scholarship i do not have much knowledge about it you should contact college for more information. No loan is offered by the college contact banks for it.
