The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University/ Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the University/ Institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Those who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 30th September, 2010 can also apply, provided they do not have any back paper(s). c) Candidates having long years of professional experience and exhibiting research aptitude may also be admitted to the programme. The minimum required percentage of marks or CGPA may be relaxed for such candidates.

Admission of Scholars Categories

i) Regular Scholars: Those who shall receive regular assistantships from the University or other recognized / approved sources viz. AICTE, UGC etc.

ii) Self Supporting Scholars: Those who shall not receive any assistantship.

iii) Sponsored Scholars: Those who are sponsored by Government departments / reputed industries / external research / academic organizations. Such candidates must have been in service in hi/her respective organization for a period of at least three years and must provide a sponsorship certificate from the employer in the prescribed form at the time of applying.

iv) The application form, available from the Admission Section, must be submitted along with documents and fees prescribed therein. Application form shall also be available online.

v) Selection of Research Scholars by the SSC will be based on test / seminar and / or interview. The recommendation of the prospective faculty supervisor(s) will be given due importance in the screening process. Recommendations of the SSC are to be forwarded to the Vice Chancellor for approval.
