The university was established in the year 1979 with the help of seven educated youth who came together to bring education to this particular region. The university is headquartered in Belagavi and runs over more than 250 educational institutions in Maharashtra and Karnataka. It is spread across a 100 acre self contained campus with an excellent infrastructure and learning resources.

It has been accredited with an A grade by the NAAC team and has been placed in Category A by the MHRD. Application and Admission Procedure

KLE University situated in Karnataka offers a number of UG/PG courses. Admissions to all the courses are based on the result of the entrance test KLE AICET. The applications are submitted through online mode. The status of the application form can also be seen by using the Application ID and DOB.

The candidates who clear AICET will be called for counseling and document verification. The University provides an allotment letter which is submitted at the time of admission. The application form is filled online and the fee is Rs.1000 for UG/PG courses. There is no offline mode available but the online application form needs to be sent to the University through Registered post/courier/ speed post.

The admit cards can be downloaded from the website and the results are also declared online.

Campus Facilities:

a. The Jaypee Institute of Information Technology provides 3 hostels for the students. Out of these, 2 are for boys and 1 is for girls.

b. Some of the other facilities provided in the campus are gym, cafeteria, post office, departmental store, sports room and pharmacy.

a. The hostel facility is available for both girls and boys students.

b. It also provides room with furniture and wifi. In addition there is a reading room, 24 hours water supply, geyser, housekeeping and CCTV surveillance.
