The AMC Dental College is run by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Medical Education Trust (AMC-MET) and is spread in a sprawling, green campus area of more than 5 acres of land in the heart of the beautiful city of Ahmedabad. AMC Dental College was established in June 2011.The Institute is committed to nurturing and providing a suitable environment for the complete growth and development of the students who are part of this esteemed institute. The college providesa certificate on the Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) degree for the Undergraduatecourse and a Master of Dental Sciences (MDS) for the Postgraduate course at the end of the academic session at AMC Dental College. The college boasts of 100 admissions every year with curriculum spanning 4 years with a 1-year compulsory rotary internship. The college is situated in the heart of the city, therefore it witnesses a considerable patient (OPD-Outpatient department) flow on regular basis from in and around the city, due to which the students derive considerable advantages in terms of patient exposure and clinical experience.
AMC Dental College has an eco-friendly college building which is beautifully designed, especially keeping in mind the wonderful ecology and the environment surrounding it.The building has large corridors and windows which are based on the 'Green Building Concept' of Architecture.The college provides for in-house accommodation in terms of hostel facility for the students as and when the candidate requires the same. The Library facility is a huge collection of journals and referral texts along with spacious reading area also provide for the student’s benefits.

Eligibility
To pursue MDS at Amc Dental College students must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria-
1) Candidate has completed a 3 year course in BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognized university.
2) Candidate who has completed a 2 year PG diploma approved by Dental Council of India are eligible to pursue a MDS course in the same discipline.
Admission Procedure
Please note that in a non-governmental institutes, 50% of the seats will be filled by management of the institute. Academic merit should be considered while granting admission under management quota. Rest 50% seats will be filled by competent authority based on the academic merit of the candidate.
Academic merit of a candidate will be determined based on the performance in competitive exam conducted by the state governemnt or competent authority or centralized competitive exam conducted at the national level.
Candidate must score at least 50% marks in the competitive exam. For SC/ST/OBC candidates the minimum percentage required is 40%.
Performance in first, second and third year of BDS exam can be considered to determine the academic eligibility of the candidate.
