PSIT is a private engineering college which is located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in the year 2004. The college is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and approved by AICTE.

The college offers UG courses such as B.tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The College offers UG courses like Master in Business Administration and Master in computer application.

Admissions in both UG and PG courses are taken on the basis of qualifying exams. For ug courses, students have to score decent marks in JEE Main or UPSEE and for PG courses, students have to score marks in UPSEE or GATE.

The college has hostel facilities for both male and female students. Other facilities include transportation, security, labs, library, activity clubs and more.

It is ranked 54th among all Engineering Institutes and IITs in India by Times of India.

PSIT Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT) Kanpur has working relations with CII (Confederation of Indian Industries), National Human Resource Development (NHRD), Campus Connect of Infosys and TCS-ION. The PSIT Center for corporate relations, the job portal and pooled campus drives deal with placements.

Students interested in participating in campus drives are required to fill up the pooled campus drive form and submit it.

On an average more than 150 companies visit PSIT each year and in the 2017 batch, 757 students were successfully placed. In 2017-2018, 151 campus drives have been held till date.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to Apply

Online Mode

Candidates can download the application form from the college website and must fill it up duly in all respects and submit the same along with the application fee of INR 500 which is to be paid by either debit or credit card.

Offline Mode

Application forms collected from the institute office need to be completely filled up in all respects and the application fee of INR 500 is to be paid via demand draft made in favour of Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, payable at Kanpur.

Documents required-

• Class X and XII Mark sheets and Certificates
• Diploma certificate for candidates seeking lateral entry into UG courses
• Provisional degree for PG courses
• Valid UPSEE score card with rank
• OBC or backward class certificates

Admission Procedure

For B. Tech courses, candidates need a minimum score of 60% in class XII and minimum 60% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. 85% of the seats are filled up by counselling based on the UPSEE ranks achieved by the candidates and the candidates also need to sit for a 30 minute aptitude test.

15% management quota seats are filled up based on JEE/UPSEE ranks.

For M. Tech admissions, candidates need a minimum of 60% each in class X, class XII and B. Tech.

For B. Pharmacy course, candidates need a minimum of 60% in class X and XII and 60% and either 60% in Physics Chemistry and Biology or 60% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and they need to sit for a 30 minute aptitude test.

For M. Pharmacy, candidates need a minimum of 60% in B. Pharmacy.

For MCA, candidates need a minimum of 60% in classes X and XII and in graduation with 60% in Mathematics and they also need to appear for a personal interview.

For MBA, candidates need a minimum of 60% in classes X and XII and in graduation and they need to appear for a group discussion and personal interview.

For CSJM university courses admission is based on counselling based on CSJM university entrance examination ranks.
