Ujjain Engineering College, previously called Government Engineering College, is located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The Government of Madhya Pradesh established it in 1966.

It is a government institute with autonomous status. College is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. Initially, it offered Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering courses. Over the years, it added Electronics Engineering in 1985, Chemical Engineering in 1986 and Computer Science and Engineering in 2001. The college also provides Master's degree courses in multiple engineering branches.

Faculty consists of more than 80 experienced professionals. Student enrollment exceeds 1450. Facilities include a computer laboratory, gymnasium, library and cafeteria.

Admissions depend on national level exams. JEE is for undergraduate courses and GATE is for postgraduate programs. Ujjain Engineering College is approved by AICTE. It was declared autonomous by the State Government.

The college ranks #170 for B.Tech according to IIRF 2023.

Placements - In 2020 highest salary offered was INR 8.2 LPA. Out of 300 students 200 were placed.
