Tezpur College, Tezpur was established in 1965 is one of the premier colleges of Assam. The college is re-accredited by NAAC and the college was awarded ‘B’ Grade. The college offers regular courses in B.A./B.Com and Higher Secondary Arts and Commerce; the college also offers programs like BBA, BMC, TTM, B. Music and M. Music. Introduction of different career oriented courses, establishment of the contact centre of the IDOL, GU and study centre of KKHSOU is the result of the untiring effort put by the college for the development of higher education in the region.
The College initially faced infrastructure difficulties but with over a span of 50 years the college has developed with leaps and bounds and is now spread across acres of land. The College provides for bachelors, master, philosophy and doctoral programs in arts, commerce, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Geography, travel and tourism, economics, music, computer applications and political science.
