1. Merit Scholarships:

• These scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• They are awarded to first-year B.Tech. students who have performed exceptionally well in their HSC examination.
• The scholarship amount varies based on the rank in the HSC examination.
• The total amount allocated to the merit scholarship is Rs. One crore and tuition fees are waived for deserving candidates.
• Second, third and final-year B.Tech. students who secure the first three ranks in their respective branches in university examinations also receive merit scholarships.

1. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:

• This scholarship is provided by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) based on both merit and parental income.
• Postgraduate students who secure a minimum of 75% marks in their qualifying examination and have parental income less than Rs. 2 lakhs per annum are eligible.
• The scholarship amount is Rs. 12,400 per month for M.Tech students and Rs. 10,000 per month for MBA/MCA students.

1. Need-Based Scholarships:

• These scholarships are based on economic background for students from financially weaker sections of society.
• The college provides free education to 25% of students admitted under the government quota each year.
• Fee concessions are also available for students whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.

1. Women Scholarships:

• SMVEC offers scholarships specifically for women students to encourage and support their education.
• One girl student from each branch receives free education every year.
• Fee concessions are available for women students whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.
