Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC) Puducherry

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (SMVEC) is a private institute located in . It was established in 1999 and is managed by the Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust.

SMVEC offers 14 undergraduate B.Tech programs, 8 postgraduate programs and 11 PhD research programs. All programs are approved by AICTE and UGC and the college is affiliated with Pondicherry University. The faculty-student ratio is 1-50.

The college provides many facilities. It includes hostels for both boys and girls, well-equipped laboratories, a library, computing facilities, transportation and sports facilities. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus.

Admissions occur through JEE Main, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) and CENTAC counselling. The institute also accepts scores from CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA and GATE.

SMVEC has received "A" grade accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for two cycles. It is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and global company TCS.

In 2023, India Today ranked SMVEC 213 out of 281 colleges in India overall and 180 out of 246 for B.Tech specifically.

Placements - Over 90% of students secure placements in leading IT companies. Highest salary package was INR 11.5 LPA while average was INR 3.3 LPA and lowest was INR 2 LPA.

College has established partnerships with many organizations to offer over 90 international certification courses.
