Fee Structure Of BHU IIT, Varanasi-Indian Institute Of Handloom Technology
Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, parented by Development Commissioner for Handlooms was established in 1956. The institute is located at Chowkaghat, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The Institute was approved in 1994. It is one of the oldest of IIHTs and has 82 student’s intake per year.
It offers two diploma courses-
- Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology
- Post Diploma in Textile processing
The courses are full time diploma or certification courses with duration of 3 years for Handloom and Textile and 18 months for Textile Processing. One can be admitted to the college just by applying through the online mode.
A candidate having three years Diploma in Handloom Technology/Diploma in Handloom and Textile Technology/Diploma in Textile Technology/Textile Chemistry/Textile Processing from a recognized Institute or any science graduate from a recognized College/University or B.Sc. in Home Science passed with Physics and Chemistry subjects at 10+2/Intermediate level is eligible for the admission in Post Diploma Course.
The campus has the facilities of library, hostels, sports, internet, transportation, cafeteria, Computer Labs etc.

Campus life
Indian institute of Handloom technology is located in Varanasi and was established in the year 1994 and is widely spread across an area of 40 acres of land.
The college has a central library which contains technical books on textiles and handlooms.It has reference books, journals, magazines such as Marg, ITJ Color age, Asian Textile Journal, Textile Trends Textile Magazines, Information Technology, Textile Review and Color Index Journal, Newspapers etc.
The college contains other facilities like class rooms, labs, research, auditorium, boys hostel, girls hostel, cafeteria, stationary room and reprography, common rooms for boys and girls, sports complex, medical center and guest house.
Hostel
The college provides separate hostel for girls and boys. There ae two hostels for girls and two hostels for boys with newspapers and TV availability. The hostel students also have access to gym, small library and every week there is medical checkup for students.
The college awards its merit students with scholarships and the minority students are given scholarships by the government.
Student life
The college have several committees like anti-ragging, discipline and welfare, complaints cum redressal committee. It also organizes various events like Swachh Bharat, Vigilance awareness, communication skill development, Industry institute interaction cell, NSS and NCC.
