COLLEGE PROFILE

Mahakal Institute of Technology was established in the year 2001. It is located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The college has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.

The college is a part of MIT Group of Institutes and offers various courses at under graduate and post graduate level. All the admissions are strictly done on the basis of merit ranks obtained by the student in the qualifying examination that is either JEE(Main) or Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test for under graduate courses and GATE for post graduate courses.

The college has a dedicated training and placement cell for helping students secure decent jobs after the degree. Various companies like Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Unisys, NIIT Technologies etc. visit the campus every year to recruit the students for various job profiles.

The college provides all the modern facilities to the students and the staff members. A well-maintained computer laboratory, gymnasium, library and cafeteria are some of the major attractions. The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities. A spacious auditorium for hosting various expert talks and seminars for the students is also available.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The institute has on campus hostels for boys with well furnished rooms on either single or double occupancy basis. The hostel mess provides meals for the students. It can accommodate more than 250 students.

The hostel provides various services as follows- a medical room with a doctor and a nurse, canteen, water coolers, a recreation room, indoor games facilities and a gymnasium.

Other facilities include- A State Bank of India extension counter with ATM, a nearby post office, internet laboratory, a cricket ground and basketball court, guest rooms for visitors and cooperative stores.

Off campus hostel arrangements are made for girl students on request.

Campus facilities

The institute has an excellent computerized library with 30000 books, subscriptions to 50 national and international journals, 25 magazines and numerous CDs. All the classrooms and laboratories are equipped with the latest technology.

The institute has an open air auditorium as well as a high tech indoor auditorium with audio visual equipment.
