Dewan VS Group of Institutes was established in the year 1996. The foundation stone of the institution was laid by Late Sri Vidya Sagar Dewan, the leading industrialist and educationist with a vision to emphasise adherence to excellence, ethics and values in the field of education, along with his wife Mrs Mamta Dewan, a staunch socialist and philanthropist. Under the inspiration of renowned connoisseur and patrons, beneath the umbrella of Dewan Daulat Ram Education Foundation, there was initiated a school in year 1992, which later spurt into a group of schools and professional education institutions – Dewan Institute of Management Studies, Dewan VS Institute of Engineering & Technology, Dewan VS Institute of Management, Dewan VS Institute of Hotel Management, Dewan VS Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Dewan Law College, Dewan College of Education, which are currently offering the following courses – B.Tech (Computer Sciences & Engineering, IT, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering), Management (MBA, PGDM, BBA), Computer Applications (MCA, BCA), Hotel Management (BHMCT, DHMCT), LAW (BALLB, LLB), Education (B.Ed).

Legacy was continued by Vice Chairman Mr Vivek Dewan and today, these institutes not only have accreditations and affiliations with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), UP Technical University (UPTU) Lucknow, CCS University (CCSU) Meerut, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Board of Technical Education (BTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), but also have national or international linkage with organizations like – IIT Delhi, IIT Mumbai, NITTTR – Chandigarh, Colorado Heights University USA, Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management & Business, Russian Foundation, Pushkin Leningrad State University, St Petersburg. Rio+21 etc.

Institutes’ students also had an International Tour to Dubai & Singapore in recent years. Dewan VS Institutes’ Labs are certified with Tata Consulting Services (TCS) and the institute is Campus Partner of WIPRO too.
