Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) Raipur

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) is located in Raipur. Established in 2003 it is a State Public University named after former Chief Justice Mohammad Hidayatullah. The University Grants Commission of India recognizes it. Bar Council of India also approves it.

HNLU covers 65 acres in Raipur. The campus has a library with an air-conditioned reading hall and a computer lab that houses 200 computers. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.

Its flagship program is five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) course. HNLU also provides a one-year LLM program and a PhD program.

It has more than 500 students. Faculty comprises 31 members. HNLU is a fully residential university with separate hostels for boys and girls.

The university has a modern gymnasium, indoor badminton courts and table tennis facilities. Outdoor sports include a football ground with a planned synthetic running track, a cricket ground, tennis courts, basketball courts and a volleyball court.

Admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) is based on CLAT scores. HNLU conducts its entrance exam for PhD program.

HNLU has international collaborations, including a MoU with Indian Institute of Management, Raipur for research and student exchanges. University has received a ranking of 31 out of 40 for law in India in 2024 by IIRF.
