About AIMS:
The Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies is established with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Government of India to offer two-year full-time Post-Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGDBM).The Mission of AIMS is to prepare professionally competent managerial manpower to meet the challenges of corporate, business, service sectors and the government and thereby help contribute to economic development of the nation. It endeavors to impart quality management education and inculcate among the youth humane and ethical perspective based on values of honesty, dedication and social justice. The Institute also aims at developing all-round and harmonious personality with good culture, values, and attitude among the educated youth.
They are also exposed to the dynamics of the Corporate World through Guest lectures, Conferences, Case studies, Workshops & Industry visits, apart from their regular academic routine. Every Friday, group learning activities like group presentations, group discussions, role plays, management games etc are organized for all students.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar People’s Educational Trust, Hyderabad is a registered non-profit making body. It was founded in 1990 by a group of visionary, versatile and eminent administrators of civil services, academicians, professionals, doctors, engineers and legal luminaries who are dedicated to serve the cause of education. The Trust has more than 5000 members belonging to various walks of life and a Council of Trustees.
The Trust seeks to fulfill the prime objective of promoting technical, professional and management education among various sections of society particularly Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by establishing a network of schools, colleges, management and technical institutions and Universities in Andhra Pradesh and in other parts of the country. In this direction, a pioneering effort has been made by establishing a Business School – AMBEDKAR INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES (AIMS) in 1995 at Visakhapatnam and thereafter the Ambedkar College of Technology and Science (Degree College) in 2001 in Visakhapatnam under the aegis of the Trust.
