The Ahmed Memorial Educational Society was established to cater to the requirements of the people of old city, specially the girls. Since its inception in 1981, the society has made great strides. Starting humbly with 200 students, today there are 4500 students 400 faculty members spread over two sprawling campuses. ISLAMIA GROUP OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS is the flagship organization of the society. Irrespective if region, religion and caste, the society has ever been engaged in imparting quality education.

Why women’s engineering college?
Revolution in information Technology and globalization have opened new vistas in our country. The country requires technically trained manpower. The aim of the college is to tap the girls who constitute a big chunk of our population and who have already demonstrated during the last ten years that they can be the best skilled personnel.

ISL Women's Engineering College was established under the aegis of ISLAMIA group in the year 1981. ISLAMIA group is a well known educational group in the region of Hyderabad. The college works with the motto to provide quality education to the students of remote areas and less developed areas of Hyderabad.

However the college has always been committed to promote education and work on upliftment of women in the society.
