Sridevi Women’s Engineering College, Hyderabad was established by Late Sri K Ashoka Rao in the year 2002 with the affiliation of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and approval of All India Council of Technical Education. The college is sponsored by the Sridevi Education Society.
There are total 9 departments provided by the college. The names of some popular departments are:
- Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Department of Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Department of Science and Humanities
Admissions in the courses are allotted on the basis of Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test entrance (AP EAMCET). The college release cutoffs on the basis of entrance exam marks and selected students will get admission.
The college also offers placements some of the top companies that frequently visit the college for offering placements are Google, Amazon, Infosys, SAP labs, Toshiba, Oracle, Wipro, HDFC and more.

Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
The campus is spacious, structured and full of beautiful lawns and playground.
It has a number of well equipped labs and training centres.
The hostel is good and has the basic amenities of water, electricity, nutritious food, purified drinking water and 24/7 security.
Other facilities
Apart from these the college has a Computer Lab, a well stocked Library and a Canteen. Wifi service is available at all times.
The Training and Placement department of the college provides skill development training to the students. For that purpose it has a conference room, interview rooms and 4 computer laboratories. Companies like Amazon, Google Maps, IBM etc are yearly recruiters at the college.
The college holds cultural and technical fests for the recreational refreshment of students. “Maithri” is the annual festival of the college where students participate in dance, music and other creative activities.
For the convenience of students the college also sends out 26 buses on different routes within the city.
