PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research was established in the year 2014. This newly formed private engineering college has become one of the best engineering colleges in Coimbatore in a short span. It is approved by AICTE and Anna University, Chennai.
This engineering college is situated on Salem-Coimbatore High way, Tamil Nadu. Its campus has covered up a large area. The separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are available here. Besides that, there is a well-equipped gym, well-organized library, cafeteria, auditorium, sports complex and separate labs for different subjects.
At present, there are total 79 faculty members. It provides medical facility and transport service to its staffs and students.
This college provides Undergraduate degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering.
For getting admission in this college offered courses one has to obtain minimum cut off marks in TNEA, a state level entrance exam.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls and separate dining halls for them too. The rooms are well furnished, spacious and have the capacity of accommodating four students in each room.
The mess provides non vegetarian meals twice each week.

Campus facilities
The institute has state of the art classrooms. The library has 5450 books and NPTEL videos. The digital library subscribes to online journals of IEEE, Jgate and ASTM and Cognifront visual teaching aids are available for the students.
The central seminar hall is air conditioned and has multimedia projectors. Each department has its own seminar hall with a seating capacity of 150 in each hall.
