Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research was established in 1994 with the hospital named Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon and was visited by Mahatma Gandhi in 1945.It was founded by the society named MaharashtraAcademy of Engineering Education & Research (MAEER) and got reorganization from Medical Council of India. The college offers Bachelor, Master and Diploma courses I Medical Science
