Remarks
I chose this college because it was very near to Mumbai , my home town! The college has a m.u.h.s certified affiliation which proves to be very useful for getting a job after m.b.b.s is completed. After my entrance exam marks were declared i began scrutinizing for various medical schools across Maharastra. It was that time i came across m.i.m.e.r . I found the college suitable according to my convenience and hence i choose it. Thus college is wonderful and certainly one the best phase of my life. I would recommend everyone i know about this college
Entrance Exam
The admission criteria for m.b.b.s course in my college is that you must have 50 percent or more than 50 percent marks in 10+2 . Then you need to get marks more than the minimum percentile marks in neet ug exam. "I applied on the website which thr Maharastra University of health sciences provide , that is - d.m.e.r. This website allows you to fill all the choices of college as per your wish . Then According to your marks , the college will be allotted. Once you get the college , you need to pay the fees and submit the demanded documents by that college."
Fees
The course fee for m.b.b.s is 6.6 lakh per annum for open category students. As my college is not a government college bht a private college , the fees are justified . Looking at the outcome of being a doctor and working towards the service to humanity , 6.6 is affordable.
Placements
None of the medical college have placement cell. But the college does let you take part in exchange programs or in research methodology. This help you to create an appealing c.v which is sufficient to get you in the best hospital across the state and let you practice in the field you desire to. As any medical college in india , m.i.m.e.r doesn't give placement opportunities. All the graduated doctor need to apply for their job independently . Either graduated students opt for job or else they study vigorously for neet pg which can get them into a good residency program.
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel rooms are spacious. The normal rooms can accommodate 2 students easily while the corner rooms can accommodate 3 students. The water supply and electric supply are constant and there isn't any instance when the lights went off. The food service is provided by the mess which is tasty . The annual hostel fee is 50,000 rupees. thanks
Alumni
The alumni network is such that all the students are well connected with their seniors and juniors.
Faculty
The college faculties are punctual on their time. The lectures start and end precisely. The clinical postings are well co ordinated with the resident doctors . The faculties are always available to clear your doubt. No lethargy is displayed and no topic is skipped. The paiteint care and introduction as well as ethucs of being a doctor are made Crystal clear to each and every student
Campus Life
The college has a magnificent infrastructure with library , electric library , 3 lecture halls with capacity of 150 students each , demo rooms , labs with modern machinery , good sanitation and a very big campus. The college also has a basketball court and football and Cricket grounds The college has 2 fest- 1. During the Ganesh chaturthi , we have a fest named " vakratunda" for 5 days . 2. During February we have annual fest called as " plexus" which is celebrated on a grand scale. This fest provide refreshment from the hectic study and clinic schedule we have. All the students participate in the activities. There are sports in both the fest. In the vicinity there is sports club where activities.like swimming , badminton can be done.
Academics
Exams are the chief way to judge the knowledge of the topic. There is something called as part completion test(p.c.t.) ehich are held regularly after the topic has been taught. Another tests like m c.q and discussion classes help to clear topics. The result of test are discussed individually.
