Mailam Engineering College (MAILAM) Viluppuram

This new generation engineering college spread over 42 acres is affiliated to Anna University and is the only college in the districts of Villupuram and Cuddalore to be accredited by TCS for campus placements.

The college offers both graduate and post graduate courses. B. E. Courses are offered in the fields of- civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering and electrical and electronics engineering.

Eligibility to these courses is based on class XII marks in the relevant subjects and further guidelines by Anna University.

Post graduate courses are offered in the fields of- Power electronics and drives, engineering design, communication systems and computer science and engineering.

The college has exceptional facilities for its students as follows:-

• Laboratory, research and development and library facilities for each separate department
• A computer zone fully equipped with 900 terminals with the latest configurations.
• Separate on campus hostels for both boys and girls with a range of rooms and services to suit the varied requirements of the students.
• A fully automated central library with over 38550 volumes and subscriptions to over 266 national and international journals. The college is a member of the British Council library. The college also has separate libraries for each department.

Hostel and Facilities

The campus of the college expands over an area of 42 acres located adjacent to the Sri Subramania Swamy Koil, Mailam and Sri Vakkarakali Amman Koil, Thiruvakkarai.

The college provides an internet connection which help in interlinking the computer labs of various departments with the college office. There are 900 terminals of latest configuration as well as latest software’s helping in providing information to the students.

The library provides 38850 volumes of books which are updated with the library committee’s recommendations. A fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating space of 750 students is available in the college.

The canteen caters to the need of 350 students at a time by providing affordable meals.
