OF INDIA0 to function as national apex body for the Human Resource Development for Indian Power Sector. It has corporate office located at Faridabad (Hariyana) and operates on all India basis through the four Regional Institutes at Badarpur, Nagpur, Durgapur, and Neyveli.

Facilities at NPTI Nagpur
210 MW Simulator
NPTI Nagpur has well tuned, full-scope, hi-tech real time 210 MW fossil fuel fired simulator, a replica of 210 MW Unit-1 of Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station (MSEB). The process model of the simulator is based on BHEL-CE Tangentially corner fired boiler design and KWU turbine system. It facilitates training both in the conventional mode of control room operation and also on CRT key board based unit operation.
