Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce (MMCC), Pune was established in 1985. It is one of the leading colleges affiliated to the University of Pune and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. For a little over two decades the college has grown and progressed with Pune City. MMCC has won the best college award under the quality improvement program has been awarded by the University of Pune. It is accredited by NAAC.
MMCC’s mission will strive to offer opportunities for learning and development of the students. The college is committed to excellence and it will be their endeavor to intimate and participate in various student centered activities that would make a difference in the field of education. They have reached the top and now real challenge is to maintain their position at the peak.
Marathwada Mitra Mandal, Pune is a Public Charitable Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1990 under Registration No. F-338 P dated 19.1.1967. Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, Ex-Home Minister of India, was one of the Founder members and also the President of the Trust. Hon. Shri Vilasraoji Deshmukh , Union Minister Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences, was the President of our Trust. In July 1985, the Trust started the College of Architecture with the introduction of the first year of degree (B. Arch.) Course in Architecture. In the same year, the Trust started a School of Interior Design offering a Full-time Diploma in Interior Design.
Both these courses have a very good response because of our outstanding academic achievements and excellence in sports and other activities. In 1986, the Managing Committee realizing the need and significance of 'Commerce' education opened a Commerce College which has been steadily and surely growing and developing with outstanding academic results and all other achievements. Understanding the need for management education, the Institute of Management, Education, Research and training was established. The Law College as well with a recent establishment offers three years and five years degree course in law. Under the wings of Commerce College, we pioneered in introducing Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Management(International Business), Bachelor of Computer Application, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science courses in Pune City.
AFFILIATION AND RECOGNITION
The Senior Wing of the college which offers 'under graduate' ( B. Com.) and 'post graduate' ( M. Com.) courses in commerce is affiliated to the University of Pune and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.
The Junior Wing of the college offers courses in 'Commerce' and 'Science' under the rules and regulations of the Maharashtra State Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The Junior College also offers minimum competency 'Vocational courses' under the rules and regulations of the Maharashtra State Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
