Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) was established in 1998 under Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha.Under the affiliation of the University of Mumbai and the approval of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State and All India Council of Technical Education, it is deemed to be a private college.

DMCE is located in Navi Mumbai with an approximate distance of 5km,8km and 12km from the nearby Muland,Thane and Vashi railway stations.

The campus is located in the outskirts of Airoli,consituting an area of 2.47 acres with the playground covering a major expanse of 1.8 acres.

They facilitate in providing the students with a central library which comprises of more than 26,000 books consisting of national and international journals, a computerised bar coding system for issuing and returning books,a seminar hall with a well connected network of communication.

The college aims in building the intellectual,leadership and social values of an individual with the knowledge of technology.

The candidates seeking admission at Datta Meghe College of Engineering are eligible for the same if they qualify that 12 or equivalent examination with minimum marks with mandatory subject physics, chemistry, mathematics and qualify MHTCET or JEE Mains.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admission is through counselling which is based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the Maharashtra Health and Technical common entrance test (MHTCET). If the seats are still remaining they will be filled by the candidates based on their rank obtained in JEE Mains.

The campus of the institution sprawls over an area of 2.47 acres of land and presents a badminton court and a gymnasium to fulfil its students’ athletic inclinations.

Besides a fully computerised central library, a seminar hall and a language lab is present within the campus.

Hostel

The accommodation facilities include hostels for both male and female students with provisions of indoor games, televisions and recreation rooms. A dining hall contributes to fending for vegetarian diet to students while a canteen is also for present nibbles and beverages. The campus has its own lease line and internet connectivity.

Scholarships are provided which have to be applied for by interested students to be considered as potential recipients. Various awards are conferred to meritorious students based on their performances in academics and co-curricular activities.

Student Life

Students enjoy annual fests like ‘Yuva’, a weeklong annual cultural and sports extravaganza held by the institution. ‘Blitzkrieg’ is a national-level technical fest held by the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and the student association (‘e-SPARK’) of the institution.
