Army institute of Technology is an engineering college established in 1994 under the affiliation of University of Pune. The institute only allows the admission of wards of army personnel. It is operated by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).

It was ranked 88 among engineering colleges by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018. It is NBA and NAAC with ‘A’ grade accredited college.

The institute offers 5 undergraduate programmes.

AIT is located at Dighi Hills, Pune, Maharashtra and is spread across 5 acres of serene environment with facilities such as central and digital library, lecture halls, auditorium, cafeteria, hostels, gyms, shopping complex, sports, ATMS and medical care.

The admission into the undergraduate programmes is based on JEE MAIN score.

HOW TO APPLY?

The candidate seeking admission at Army Institute of Technology (Pune) must

qualify their class 12th or equivalent course with minimum 50% marks with compulsory subjects as Physics and Mathematics along with one of the optional subjects like chemistry or biotechnology or Biology. They are also required to appear in the JEE main examination.

The candidates should apply online for admission.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The candidates can apply online through the official website of the college.

The candidate should fill all the required details like the entrance examination receipt number, roll number etc. They should pay the online application fees of Rs. 500/- and submit the application at the mentioned date.

Whereas for application for JEE Mains can be done through the official website of the examination.

The admission is based on merit. It is on the all India rank obtained by the candidate in the JEE-Mains.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the institution is situated on the outskirts of the city hubbub and sprawls over a considerably large area. A well-equipped library; a language lab/incubation centre; a multi-purpose hall for indoor games, gym and yoga; a cricket pitch; grounds for football and volleyball; basketball and tennis courts complete the wide ranged facilities for recreation and physical fitness.

A shopping complex within the campus area fends for the daily needs of the students and houses stationary and general stores, a barber shop and an ATM.

For health-related emergencies, a twenty-four hour ambulance is always kept at bay, besides a medical room that further caters to the students’ medical requisites.

Hostel

The institution provides for students’ accommodation through hostel facilities in the form of one hostel for girls and three boys hostels, with sufficient availability of basic room amenities.

A hostel mess provides vegetarian diet to the students while an open-air cafeteria is also present in the campus. Students enjoy round-the-clock free internet connectivity through Wi-Fi and physical modes.
