Green Hills Engineering College Solan

Green Hills Engineering College which is popularly known as GHEC started functioning since 2003. In 2003 it started its journey with 4 core subjects of engineering namely, Electrical Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

In the year 2008, it included Information Technology and later in 2010, it included Civil Engineering. It has been recognized by AICTE, Himachal Pradesh Technical University as well as International Accreditation Organization ( USA). Moreover, it has a tie-up with TCS for conducting competitive exams.

This technical institute offers UG and PG programmes in various engineering streams such as Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc.

JEE Main is the only gateway of entering into this institution.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel facilities

The college has separate hostels for both boys (2 hostels) and girls (2 hostels). The hostels have excellent amenities and are fully WiFi enabled. The mess provides the students with nutritious hygienic food.

Solar water heaters are available in order to supply uninterrupted hot water to the hostel residents. The hostel fees are INR 50200 per year and the refundable hostel security deposit is INR 2000.

Campus facilities

A unique feature of this college is that the students are divided into small groups of 15-20 students and each group is assigned a tutor who looks after all their academic work and also keeps in touch with the Students’ parents thus ensuring the provision of quality education.

The college has state of the art laboratories and uninterrupted internet access. The college also has an excellent library, an auditorium and a sports complex.

The college has dedicated medical facilities for the students. There is a full-time resident doctor on campus, a well equipped MI room and a 24*7 campus ambulance.

Other campus amenities include canteens, 6 college buses, an on-campus Punjab National Bank ATM, gymnasium, an anti-ragging cell, a women empowerment cell and a guest house.
