Fee Structure Of WIT, Solapur-Walchand Institute Of Technology

Walchand Institute of Technology was started in the year 1983 and is located at Solapur, in Maharashtra. The college is permanently affiliated to the Solapur University. The Institution has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and has been placed in the 151-200 rank-band by the NIRF organization.

The institution offers M.E degree for the subjects Computer Science, Civil, Mechanical and Electronics Engineering.

Candidates interested in seeking admission to the college can apply using the score obtained in GATE examination. The undergraduation engineering courses require students to register for the centralised admission process (CAP) conducted by the Maharashtra government. The process includes submission of valid JEE / MH-CET score along with 10+2 marksheets based on which admissions will be made.

The campus has all modern facilities including round the clock medical care, internet access, hygienic cafeteria, clubs and societies and excellent facilities for games & activities. The campus regularly conducts cultural and sport events and also provides National Service Scheme training for students.

Application and Admission Procedure

The interested candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks to get admission in the UG/PG courses offered by the college.

The students need to appear for the MH-CET examination. Once they have given the exam and secured a valid rank to appear for the counseling session conducted by the DTE. The selection of the candidates to the college is strictly based on the decision of the committee set up by the counseling commission.

The committee set up is based on the Centralized Admission Process. Apart from this there are number of seats which are in the hand of the institution management. Students can contact the institution directly to have proper information about it.

There are 3 hostels in WIT, 2 boys and 1 girls hostel. The hostels have air conditioning facility as well as a gym.

Library: The digital library setup is getting popular and the college is at its best to cope up with it.

Highly updated computer systems and relevant journals/magazines along with books serve the purpose of clean knowledge sharing among students.

Laboratory: The laboratories of WIT are totally upgraded and there are state of the art equipment in all sections of laboratories.

Seminar Halls: There are 2 seminar halls, having 200 seat capacity along with audio-visual facilities.
