COLLEGE PROFILE
Institute of Engineering and Management was established in 1989 and is located in Kolkata. The oldest private engineering college in the state, the college has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education and NAAC. The college offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It is engineering cum management school.
The college has a large campus with all the modern facilities like library, digital library, spacious classrooms, auditorium, internet connectivity, computer laboratories, workshops etc. The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities for all the students.
The admissions to various courses are strictly merit-based. Admissions are made on the basis of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or Joint Entrance Examination (Main).
The college has a dedicated training and placement cell to assist the students in finding jobs. Various companies like Capgemini, CMC Limited, Ignited Wings, Cognizant etc. visit the campus every year to recruit the students for various job profiles.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
The institute has provisions for both on and off campus separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel mess provides both vegetarian and non vegetarian meals. The management ensures that all necessary amenities to make the stay in the hostels comfortable for the students.
Being located in the heart of the IT hub if eastern India, the students can also choose from a wide range of paying guest accommodations in nearby localities.
Campus facilities
The fully automated library of the in boasts of a library with more than 20000 books, the digital library is well equipped with multimedia learning aids, photocopying, scanning and printing machines. The digital library subscribes to IEEE , DELNET and J-Gate online journals.
The institute has an excellent placement division. On an average each student received about two job offers. Rigorous training is given to the students in facing campus interviews, soft skills development and other areas and students are also trained for competitive examinations such as GATE.
The campus is entirely WiFi enabled and the high tech computer laboratories have round the clock internet access.
