JIS College of Engineering was established in 2000. It is located in Kalyani, West Bengal. It is an autonomous institution and is part of the JIS Group.

The institute has spread over 17.5 acres. There is one in-campus boys hostel (Vivekananda boys hostel). There are 2 girls hostels (Nivedita girls hostel, Sarojini girls hostel). The college has a student canteen and a staff canteen, auditorium, conference rooms, laboratories and stocked libraries with access to e-resources.

There is 24 hours power back up, transport services and a computer lab with 1205 computers. The institute has a gymnasium and well maintained playground for cricket and football. There is an indoor games complex for chess, carom and table tennis with regular tournaments being held.
