Scholarships

Merit Scholarship:

Applicable to students who secure 60% or more marks in aggregate in the previous examination.
Scholarship amount: Rs. 500 per month for 10 months.
Limited to 10% of the total number of students admitted in each course.

Need-based Scholarship:

Applicable to economically weaker students who have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in the previous examination.
Scholarship amount: Rs. 300 per month for 10 months.
Limited to 5% of the total number of students admitted in each course.

TATA Metaliks Sadbhavna Scholarship:

Applicable to SC/ST/OBC category students who have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in the previous examination.
Scholarship amount: Rs. 1000 per month for 10 months.
Limited to one student from each course.

OASIS Scholarship:

Applicable to minority community students who have applied through the OASIS portal of the West Bengal government.
Amount and eligibility criteria follow government norms.

Hijli College also assists students who want to avail the Student Credit Card scheme of the West Bengal government, which offers loans up to Rs. 10 lakh for higher education.
