The Kalasalingam Institute of Technology (KIT), Srivilliputtur, is a private institution established in 2008 in Krishnankovil, Tamil Nadu, and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It has been approved by the AICTE and duly accredited by the NBA.

The college has 6 departments, and offers B. Tech and B.E courses at the undergraduate level, and ME courses at the postgraduate level.

The KIT campus is spread out across 20 acres of land surrounded by the scenic hills of South India, located about 60 km south of Madurai and 10 km north of Srivilliputtur on the Madurai-Senkottai Highway. It offers facilities such as hostels for men and women, access to public transport, health and sports amenities including swimming pool, canteen, and sundry other facilities as well.

The admission into UG and PG programs is on the basis of merit marks scored in Class 12^th and applicant’s Bachelor’s degree respectively, as well as scoring in the TNEA and TANCET examinations respectively.

How to Apply

For application to the institute for Post Graduation (MBA), candidates have to first register themselves through the official website of the university which has provisions for new registrations for fresh candidates. All the consequent communications with the university would involve the candidates’ registered email ids and contact numbers.

Online:

Post-registration, prospective students can proceed to fill up the form online with all relevant details and documents, along with an online payment (through net banking, credit/debit card) of INR 600 as application fee.

Offline:

Candidates can also apply offline by obtaining a printout of the application form and submitting a hard copy of the filled up form along with an application fee of INR 650 (for payment through DD). The amount has to be drawn up through a DD in favour of ‘Kalasalingam University’, payable at Rajapalayam.

Requisite documents:

• Candidate’s Image (size between 10 KB and 200 KB; dimensions – 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm),
• Candidate’s signature image (size between 10 KB and 200 KB; dimensions – 3.5 cm by 1.5 cm)

Admission Procedure:

Applications can be made for PG programmes by candidates who have secured an aggregate of minimum 60% in their undergraduate course, following which the students will be short-listed post submission of their application forms. The university communicates the consequent requisite information through the registered student id.

Hostel

The University has separatehostels for both boys and girls. It is on the first come, first serve basis and mainly for the outstation students. Booking of the hostel rooms is done online only.
