There are 2 management colleges under the brand “SP Jain”, both providing executive management program.

Executive MBA offered by SP Jain School of Global management is an 18-Month Part-Time MBA. The student needs to have at least 3 years of work experience to be eligible to apply. The program offers an Australian Degree (accredited by TEQSA).

Executive program offered by SPJIMR is known as Post Graduate Executive Management Program (PGEMP). It is a 21-month program for executives with 5 years of work experience. The program was started in 2002 and have a proven track record of success in the industry.

S P Jain Institute of Management & Research

S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) is a constituent private business school of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It was established in 1981. It has been affiliated to Association of Indian Universities and Association of MBAs.

SPJIMR offers a 21 Month post graduate management program- Post-Graduate Executive Management Programme (PGEMP) for working executives with more than 5 years of work experience. the program is offered at Mumbai and Delhi campuses.

The program requires the students to stay on the campus for 9 days every quarter, total 60 days over the entire course. The structure of the course is modular in nature.

Currently the institute runs 5 batches of PGEMP every year.

Most of the candidates of this programme are company sponsored executives from the partner companies of SPJIMR while the programme is also open to self-funded candidates.

S P Jain School of Global Management

S P Jain School of Global Management (SPJSGM) is an Australian business school. It has its campus in Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, & Sydney. It is registered as a Higher Education Provider by the Australian Government’s national higher education regulator- the Tertiary Education Quality & Standards Agency (TEQSA).

Executive MBA course of SPJSGM aims on creating professionals who are masters of business administration in a complex global environment. The duration of the program is 18 months. The candidates must have over 5 years of working experience to apply for this course. The Hybrid learning model is used for teaching which combines online lessons, projects & face to face classes.

The course is divided into 4 segments:

• Essentials of Management- 8 Months
• Practice of Management- 6 Months
• Cross-Functional Management- 2 Months
• Applied Business Research- 2 Months

Admission and Selection Procedure

PGEMP @ SPJIMR

To apply for the program, following documents need to be submitted –

• Sponsorship/forwarding letter from the employers (even if the applicant is self-funded)
• Complete employment proof – Submit relieving letter and offer letter attested by a gazetted officer.
• Copies of graduation mark sheet, post-graduation mark sheet, and professional course certificate (Candidates without a post-graduation or professional course degree can also apply)
• Pay online application fee of Rs.1200/-

Selection Process

The selection process consists of 3 stages

1. Personal Interview – 15-20 minutes
2. Group Discussion – 30 minutes
3. Test of Reasoning – 60 minutes

If the student has a valid GMAT score, s/he can skip the test of reasoning.

This process is carried out at the Mumbai campus and is around half a day long. The process is coordinated through the HR department for the applicants of partner companies.

Executive MBA At S P Jain School of Global Management

Interested candidates can apply online. The applications are evaluated on rolling basis so applications submitted early in the cycle have a higher chance of acceptance.

Candidate can apply for 2 specializations with a single application.

Test Scores – Institute accepts scores of GMAT, GRE, CAT, SPJAT (SP Jain Aptitude test) and GMAC executive assessment. Candidate can submit the test scores after submission of the application. Candidate without test scores may be considered for admission based on Admission Director’s decision.

The candidates will be shortlisted based on

Shortlisted candidate will be informed by email. They need to submit an essay and also appear for a personal interview at the institute campus or take them online via zoom/skype.

Selected candidates will get an offer letter which mentions the date before which they need to register.

Fee Structure

PGEMP at SPJIMR

The total fee for executive MBA (PGEMP) at SP Jain Mumbai campus is Rs. 9 Lakh. The fee can be paid in 4 equal installments of Rs.2.25 lakh.

Executive MBA at SPJSGM

The total fee for the executive MBA at SPJSGM is Rs.13,57,000/-. The fee can be paid in 18 equal installments of Rs.69,000/- each.

Eligibility Criteria

PGEMP at SPJIMR – 

• Educational Qualification: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Diploma holders with 10 years of work experience too can apply.  Applicants with relevant postgraduate qualifications are given preference. For example, Chartered Accountants for Finance stream.
• Work Experience: The applicants must have a full time work experience of more than 5 years for PGEMP program. For Executive MBA at SPJSGM, candidate needs to have at least 3 years of work experience.
• Academic Record: Candidate should have minimum 50% at graduation and consistent academic record.

The candidate also needs to ensure support from the current employer to attend on-campus sessions. The candidate also needs to identify a senior manager who will act as a mentor. If the company policy allows, the candidate should seek sponsorship of program fee.

Executive MBA at SPJSGM – 

• All domestic and international candidates should have a undergraduate degree from a recognized university. Those in final year of graduation too can apply.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Candidate should have completed the education in English medium and should provide a certified evidence for the same. Otherwise, the candidate needs to take any of the following tests –
  • TOEFL IBT with a minimum score of 70
  • IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5
  • PTE with a minimum score of 60
