- Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students:
- Provided by the Bihar government.
- Applicable to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
- Covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, books allowance, etc.
- Eligibility criteria:
- Resident of Bihar.
- Passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh for SC/ST students and Rs. 1.5 lakh for OBC students.
- Merit Scholarship for UG/PG Students:
- Provided by Nalanda Open University.
- Applicable to students with high marks in previous examinations.
- Amount: Rs. 1000 per month for UG students, Rs. 1500 per month for PG students.
- Eligibility criteria:
- Passed qualifying examination with at least 60% marks for UG courses and 65% marks for PG courses.
- Enrolled in a full-time course from Nalanda Open University.
- Not receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance.
- Need-Based Scholarship for UG/PG Students:
- Provided by Nalanda Open University.
- Applicable to economically weaker students.
- Amount: Rs. 500 per month for UG students, Rs. 1000 per month for PG students.
- Eligibility criteria:
- Passed qualifying examination with at least 50% marks for UG courses and 55% marks for PG courses.
- Enrolled in a full-time course from Nalanda Open University.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh.
