Fee Structure of Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) , Darbhanga

Scholarship (E-Kalyan): This scholarship scheme, provided by the Bihar government, is for students belonging to SC/ST/Backward classes and minorities. The scholarship amount varies based on the course and student category. Eligibility criteria consider family income and academic performance. The application process is online through the E-Kalyan portal.

Scholarship (Bihar Govt.): Another Bihar government scholarship, this one is for students who are residents of Bihar. Undergraduate students receive Rs. 10,000 per year, while postgraduate students receive Rs. 15,000 per year. Eligibility is based on merit in the qualifying examination and the application process is online through the Bihar Scholarship portal.

Scholarship (UGC): Provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC), this scholarship supports postgraduate students at LNMU. General category students receive Rs. 3,100 per month, while reserved category students receive Rs. 4,100 per month. Eligibility is determined by merit in the entrance examination conducted by LNMU and applications are submitted online through the UGC portal.

• CM Minority/SC/ST/Backward class hostel scheme covers hostel fees and other expenses for eligible students.
• CM Girl Child Incentive scheme encourages girl child education with a reward of Rs. 10,000 for admission after passing class 12th with at least 60% marks.
• CM Kanya Utthan Scheme provides Rs. 25,000 to girl students who complete graduation from LNMU with at least 60% marks.
• Integrated Child Development Services support students pursuing child development courses at LNMU by covering tuition fees and other expenses.

The university has three boys and one girls hostel. 

Support facilities such as a mess, medical care centre with day and night services, daily newspapers and TV are provided in each hostel. Each hostel has an individual recreation room with television, indoor and outdoor games facilities like badminton, table tennis, carom and chess. Hostel superintendents and wardens are appointed for better management of hostel affairs.
