Jaypee University of Information Technology  also known as J. P. University of Information Technology is a public university established in the year 2000. It is a state funded university.

The university is located in Waknaghat, Solan in the state Himachal Pradesh.

The university is situated about 4 km away from the National Highway 22 of Shimla. The campus is spread over 25 acres and is full of greenery.

The University provides hostel facilities to its students.

Application and Admission Procedure

The admissions to Jaypee Institute of Information Technology are done on the basis of the JEE Mains score/ result and 10+2 results. The candidates who have cracked JEE Mains are the ones eligible to take admission in the Institute. To apply for the admissions, the candidate needs to register and fill in the online application form.

The fees to fill the application form is Rs.1200, the students should check the eligibility criteria before filling the form.

HOW TO APPLY:

The application forms are available online and the payments are done through Debit card/Credit card/ net banking.

• Firstly, log in to the official site and click on the JEE Based Admissions.
• Then fill in the basic details, Educational details in the form and the make the online payment.
• Candidate is allotted an Application ID after payment is completed and the candidate also receives a confirmation mail on registered e-mail id.
• Send the hardcopy of application form and mention the application id on the form.
• Then upload your recent photograph and signature. In case, you are unable to upload the photograph, send the print out of the form to the Admission Cell of JIIT with a colored photograph attached with the form.

If the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria then he/she is called to the institute for counseling. The candidates should carry the JEE mains score card and all the original documents at the time of counseling along with the Demand Draft (DD) of RS. 50000.

NOTE: It is mandatory to carry all the required documents such as 10^th mark sheet, 12^th mark sheet, JEE mains scorecard/ admit card, community certificate (if applicable). If any of the documents is missing the student will not be allowed to attend the counseling.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Jaypee University of Information Technology is spread over 25 acres. The university has separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls. There are 14 boys hostels with a capacity of 1203 students while the girls hostels have the ability to take about 605 students.

Each hostel has a canteen, common room and sophisticated gymnasiums to hold over 100 students at a time. Moreover there are TV rooms and indoor games complex for table tennis.

All hostels have medicine rooms with ambulance on standby for 24 hours. The girls hostel has a beauty parlour as well.

Other Facilities

The university has numerous other facilities such as- state of the art IT infrastructure with 912 computers and 29 servers, well equipped laboratories, workshops and central library with access to important E- Resources.

There is a well maintained playground as well as a basketball court, volleyball court and badminton court (indoor). The university has multiple cafeterias and round the clock medical services and transportation facilities.
