- Post Graduate Merit Scholarship:
- Applicable to: Students belonging to NEHU.
- Scholarship Amount: Rs. 10,000 per annum for general category students and Rs. 12,000 per annum for SC/ST category students.
- Number of Scholarships Available: 100 for each category.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Passed the qualifying examination from NEHU or any other recognized university in the North-Eastern region.
- Secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- Not receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source.
- Last Date for Submission: 31st March.
- Non-NET Fellowship for Research Scholars:
- Applicable to: Research scholars pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D programs in NEHU.
- Fellowship Amount: Rs. 25,000 per month for M.Phil scholars and Rs. 28,000 per month for Ph.D scholars.
- Number of Fellowships Available: 50 for each program.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Registered for M.Phil or Ph.D program in NEHU.
- Cleared the entrance test and interview conducted by NEHU.
- Last Date for Submission: 31st March.
- Other Scholarships/Fellowships:
- National Fellowship & Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students
- The J N Tata Endowment Loan Scholarships for Higher Studies
- EBA scholarship by Chulalongkorn University, Thailand
Additionally, NEHU provides financial assistance to poor and deserving students through the Students Aid Fund. This fund covers payment of tuition, examination, hostel fees and other expenses.
