About the University

Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur was established in 1960 and was formerly known as Bhagalpur University. The name of the university was changed in the year 1991. The university has 9 faculties, 34 University Departments and 29 constituent colleges. The vision of the university is to provide education with Quality, access, equity and accountability which are four pillars of knowledge revolution. The University has an excellent infrastructure and is situated on a 264-acre land. The University hosts more than 60,000 students.
