Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM) is a private business school in Pune, established in 1999. Previously known as Indian Institute of Modern Management (IIMM), BIMM is approved by the AICTE, the Ministry of HRD, and the AIU. It is considered the ‘crown jewel’ of Sri Balaji Society (SBS).

The Institute offers AICTE approved two year full-time PGDM programs, such as a PGDM in General Management, IT & Marketing, PM & HRD, and a PGDM-Executive for experienced professionals. All the courses are granted the status of “Equivalent to MBA” by the AIU.

The state-of-the-art campus is spread across 16.5 acres of land in Pune, and offers facilities such as hostels for men and women, health amenities, several computer labs, complete Wi-Fi coverage, canteens, and sports facilities including gym and swimming pool.

Admission to the various programs is on the basis of the applicant’s Bachelor’s degree, as well as on CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET entrance exams, followed by a Group Discussion/Personal Interview and an English Written Test (essay writing).

BIMM works under the guidance of Sri Balaji Society, Pune and has been imparting management education since 1999. All courses offered in the institute are AICTE approved and has been granted the status of ‘Equivalent to MBA’ by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Courses offered in the institute are-

Admission procedure

Any student who has appeared for the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/MAH-CET entrance examinations can apply for the management courses. The scores obtained by the candidate in XAT, MAT, CMAT, MAH-CET will be normalised and validated with respect to CAT score and further the merit list will be formed accordingly.

While forming merit 35% of the weightage is given to the entrance examination scores, 40% of the weightage is given to the marks in GD process and rest 25% weightage is allotted to marks in expert panel interview and the essay writing round.

Hostel facilities

The hostel of BIMM Pune is a place to relax for the students. There is an ample of accommodation and recreational facilities, the hostel building is the place where all the student managers and councils relax, study and interact with each other.

The accommodations are arranged in the form of clusters with the residential spaces for 12 student managers in a cluster. Each floor consists of 8 clusters with the facilities like drinking water coolers, lockable steel almirah and in-room furniture within the hostel premises.

A swimming pool, a gymnasium and self-laundry services are provided in the hostel premises. A doctor is also available for providing the basic medical amenities for the students. There is also a provision of an ambulance in the premises. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls.

Other facilities

The infrastructure of the college is well equipped with research labs, classrooms with projectors, well-furnished seminar halls, transport facilities for the day scholars and the hostlers, cafeteria, placement cells and so on.
