Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarships:

Applicable to: Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) and Transgender students for the year 2020-21.
Expenses Covered: Scholarship amount varies from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1200 per month depending on the course and category of the student.
Eligibility:
- Belong to one of the above-mentioned categories.
- Have a domicile of Chandigarh.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh for SC/ST/EBC and Rs. 1 lakh for OBC/Transgender.
- Passed the previous qualifying examination with at least 50% marks.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship:

Applicable to: Students pursuing professional and technical courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Expenses Covered: Rs. 20,000 per annum for day scholars and Rs. 10,000 per annum for hostellers.
Eligibility:
- Belong to the minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi).
- Have a domicile of Chandigarh.
- Annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- Secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous qualifying examination.

Stipend for Postgraduate Students (MD/MS/DM/M.Ch):

As per the norms of the Medical Council of India:
- First year: Rs. 56,100 per month
- Second year: Rs. 57,700 per month
- Third year: Rs. 59,300 per month.
